Quick Photo Recovery

Summary: Quick Photo Recovery does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the app does happens entirely on your device.

1. Who we are

Quick Photo Recovery (the "app") is developed and distributed by Sargam. This policy describes how the app handles information when you install and use it.

2. Information we collect

We collect no personal information. The app does not include analytics, tracking SDKs, advertising libraries, or crash reporters. It does not require an account, login, or any form of registration.

3. How the app accesses your photos

To do its job, the app needs to read images stored on your device. Specifically:

Storage / Photo permissions (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES on Android 13+; READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older versions). The app uses these to scan your device for image files in cache folders, hidden directories, and Android's MediaStore "Recently Deleted" trash.
The app reads file headers (the first 16 bytes) of candidate image files to verify they are real images. It does not read or transmit file contents beyond what is needed to display thumbnails on screen.
Recovered photos are saved into your device's public Pictures/PhotoRecovery folder, where they become visible in your gallery. They never leave your device.

4. Data sharing

The app does not share any data with third parties because it does not collect any data to begin with. No information leaves your device.

5. Internet usage

The app does not make network requests for the purpose of collecting, transmitting, or processing your data. If you tap "Rate Us" in the navigation drawer, the system will open the Google Play Store using a standard intent — this is handled by Google Play, not by us.

6. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no personal information from any user, this is true by design.

7. Permissions and how to revoke them

You can revoke storage / media permissions at any time:

Open your device's Settings → Apps → Quick Photo Recovery → Permissions
Toggle off the permissions you no longer wish to grant.

If permissions are revoked, scanning and recovery will stop working until you grant them again.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because we do not store any data on our servers (we do not have any), there is nothing to retain or delete on our side. To remove all app data from your device, uninstall the app via Settings → Apps → Quick Photo Recovery → Uninstall. To remove recovered photos, delete them from the Pictures/PhotoRecovery folder using your gallery or a file manager.

9. Third-party services

The app does not integrate any third-party SDKs that collect data. It uses the following open-source libraries, all of which run entirely on-device:

AndroidX (Google) — UI components
Material Components for Android (Google) — UI styling
Glide — image loading and thumbnail display
Kotlin Coroutines (JetBrains) — background scanning

10. Security

All processing happens locally on your device. We use Android's standard scoped-storage and MediaStore APIs to access photos. We do not transmit your photos or any other information to any external server.

11. Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date below and post the revised version at this URL. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the Google Play Store.
